After many well-received collections in the past, popular contemporary pop artist Takashi Murakami is set to launch another collaborative collection with fashion super-brand Louis Vuitton later this month. Previous work from Murakami led to the creation of the iconic Monogram Multicolore which has become a popular fixture replicating itself on various fronts. To kick off the launch of the Multicolore Spring Pallete, Murakami has created a short video to outline the release at hand titled “Super First Love”. The wallets and small leather goods will see a release starting April 28th while the LV Omotesando flagship store in Tokyo will enjoy a special animated display.
As a one of the most prolific contemporary artists of the last few years, Japanese artist Takashi Murakami has put together a number of stunning pieces throughout his career and been the subject of high-profile projects with the likes of Louis Vuitton and Hiroshi Fujiwara among others. The creation of his art factoryKaikai Kiki has afforded fans a more readily available form of his art as we see his signature flower creations replicated onto plush toys.
